Garden of Shame

Winter days, temptation creeps.

Echo of silence, evil sleeps.

Fig leaf-shame turned her soul.

The apple, her heart, colour of coal.

Subtle serpent, tricking the lamb.

Her innocence, now forever damned.

Desperation, forgiveness at any cost.

The dove coos, but she’s forever lost.
